REDS AGREE FEE WITH VILLA FOR BAROS Liverpoolfc.tv can confirm that the proposed transfer of Milan Baros to Aston Villa has this evening moved a step closer after the two clubs agreed a fee for the Czech striker. Baros, who has also been the subject of a bid from French side Lyon, has travelled to the Midlands for a medical. Earlier today Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez said: "Baros at this moment is our player but he might not be in the next two to three days. "We have had a very good offer from Lyon and another offer from Aston Villa. The player himself wants to stay in England so I would say Aston Villa are closer to a deal."

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv:
Aston Villa have today confirmed the signing of Milan Baros from Liverpool on a four year deal. The Czech striker passed a medical in the Midlands today before putting pen to paper on his contract. Villa have beaten off competition from French outfit Lyon for the 23 year old's signature. "It is not easy to leave Liverpool but Aston Villa are also a big club and I am happy to come here," said Baros. "I used to play alongside Patrik Berger at Liverpool and with the Czech Republic. I spoke to Patrik and he said so many good things about Villa to encourage me to join. "Hopefully my best years are still to come. I am still young and very ambitious. I want to achieve things here with Aston Villa. I am impressed with this club. There is a lot of quality here and together I think we can go forward this season. "I just can't wait to play and start scoring goals and I'm looking forward to my debut on Saturday against Blackburn at Villa Park." Villa boss David O'Leary was naturally thrilled to secure the services of the Czech ace. "I'm delighted we've finally got our man," he said. "It's taken a while but credit to the chairman and the chief executive for sticking with it. "Milan will give us the spark that we need up front and I'm looking forward to working with him." Everybody at Liverpoolfc.tv would like to wish Milan all the best for his new career with Villa.

it's the best way for him. the more he plays, the better he will be, so he needs to leave and play for a new club. sitting on the bench is terrible, moro had experienced before... we fans know how bad it is, don't we?

Yeah sitting on the bench is really terrible. Jerzy Dudek has the same problem now in Liverpool. Reina is number one. I hope that Dudek will change club but he is now injured and nobody wants an injured goalkeeper. Sad situation.
