now, i'm not one for patriotism but i have to say i shed tears of joy when my city of birth, my home town for 21 years, won the bid to host one of my favourite things in the world, the olympics! 
i thought i'd be happy if either madrid, paris or london got it so i could go and watch the events, and for some reason i wanted madrid to get it, because hopefully (!) i will be living in spain by then, but i was very very happy when london got it! well done to the whole team who organised the bid! i hope the people moaning about taxes and blah blah blah disappear, i hope our mayor disappears cause he's just making london worse, and i hope the organisers give me a job but above all, i hope these games are awesome. i am sure they will be, i cant wait! i will have to though, 7 years. gah. i might apply for some sort of job organising it. i was gonna learn german apply to work at euro 2008 in austria and switzerland. i dont have a career plan as such, i just want to work at random major sporting events. not sure this will go down well with my careers advisors.
