The Owen to RM rumours are now stronger than ever, since he didn't sign the contract extention.
It's been said that RM could use either Morientes or Samuel Eto'o as part of the deal...

I hope this is just a rumor.. but I've read that Benitez wants Morientes. And if he does go to Liverpool which not bad at all, Perez didn't learned his lesson from last season... GOD, he's an idiot or what..!!! Just want to add, Moro and Cisse would be a great duo..

i have just read today's paper, and in three different "exclusive" stories in the same newspaper, Moro is involved in deals with liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal. now i know he is an amazing man but even he cant be in three cities at once. shoddy work from the editor. i really should take wacko jacko's advice and " dont read the tabloids"

No Morientes in any Owen deal
Real Madrid coach Jose Antonio Camacho has insisted Fernando Morientes is staying at the Bernabeu, whilst insisting he is in the dark over the club's bid to sign Michael Owen.As reports claim Owen has been left to train with the Liverpool reserves, amid frenzied speculation that a move to the Spanish capital is on the cards, the next few days will prove crucial. Morientes played, and scored twice, in Real's win against Wislaw Krakow, hence ensuring he is ineligible for the competition if he moves to Anfield as a makeweight. Another forward mentioned in the press, Samuel Eto'o has admitted he is joining Barcelona."When it comes to Owen, I've heard what everybody knows," commented Real coach Camacho. "Decisions are made.
"I have no plans for the departure of Morientes. We want to improve our squad and Morientes is definitely not leaving."Consequently, it is looking like only a straight cash deal can be brokered for the England international and Spanish sources claim Real will offer up to €20 million for a player who is out of contract next year. However, Liverpool will demand a bigger fee for the former Golden Ball winner and talks are expected to continue between the two clubs before the weekend.
New Anfield striker Djibril Cisse admits he is unsure whether he will be lining up alongside Owen next term."Michael is a huge figure at the club and synonymous with Liverpool," said Cisse."Of course, when I signed, I knew he was here and looking forward to playing with him."But when you sign for a club, particularly one that's as big as Liverpool, you cannot be sure of anything."
