yes, basically for my course i had to spend a year abroad, some time in france and some in spain, on a uni exchange. i decided to split it 50/50 cause my french was rubbish compared to my spanish. i didnt want to go to france at all so i went first to get it over and done with, but i ended up falling in love with the place (and the people) and was sad i had to leave so soon and i miss it terribly. but i am going to spain next month for a semester too which is good. then i wont want to leave there. people who do my course are a nightmare cause when they come back to england and careers advisors are trying to advise them they are all fluffy and difficult cause they have itchy feet and just want to go back to travelling. i might just not come back to england, cut out the middle man.

I want to go to study abroad too. I'm looking for university right now. But it isn't easy cause I speak English only and for example on Barcelona University they don't have courses in English. I checked The Glasgow School of Art and The National College of Art and Design in Dublin but if I would like to study there I had to pay the fees I guess (I'm not sure if Socrates Erasmus have to pay fees ). I like very much school in Porto but they don’t have students guesthouse and it’s not that easy to get there from Poland. So I a little bit nervous right now – it’s my last opportunity to go for exchange – it’s my IV year and the next one will be the last.

Both art schools Nienor, what is your ultimate career plan? You both are at such exciting places in your lives right now, I am envious.

Don't ask me about my career plan, please! I'm so upset when I think about future because it reminds me that I'm getting older and older and soon I will have to care about everything on my own.

Don't ask me about my career plan, please! I'm so upset when I think about future because it reminds me that I'm getting older and older and soon I will have to care about everything on my own. haha i am exactly the same! people are always like "so what are you gonna do when you finish?" and i just look at them blankly and change the subject! i haven'ae clue. at least going abroad has given me an extra year to bide my time out in the slow lane, most of my friends have either finished already or have 5 months till they graduate and have to grow up! i dont know anything about fees in ireland, but dublin is very pretty, yet expensive. i paid 12.50 euros for one drink in a bar, i was disgusted! compared to manchester where drinks can be anything as low as one pound. granted you may be drinking a cup of acetone but its not the point. but dublin is gorgeous. i have heard that glasgow is great, and i think, but i am not 100% sure, that students in scotland do not pay fees. and i think that erasmus students dont pay fees anyway, plus you get a rather nice grant of at least 2000 euros. nien if you have the chance you must must go and study abroad, it is so much fun and the biggest learning curve i have ever had. plus effectively you get to doss around for a few months. my exam results dont count for anything so basically i just had to show my face then i passed, so i spent four months doing nothing in a beautiful city, and am about to do it all again. it's like an extended holiday!

I checked that Socrates/ Erasmus are not paying fees. One good news. I today I've asked my coordinator ( nice young guy to contact two art schools for me. And one is Edinburg and one in Porto (Portugal is my obsession lately, and life is much cheaper than in Scotland). But I don’t know if they agree… I like what you said abort exams cause my friend in Maastricht has so much work to do…

Since i blew off college right out of school, i am thinking instead of going to a two year tech school and getting a halfway decent job first. then i would like to further my education in something I am really passionate about. the trick is finding what that may be! travelling and enjoying tourist attractions, spas, and fine dining is, apparently, not a career option.
